The restaurant and lounge inside the Green Hills Restoration Hardware has been open for a bit of time now, yet I hadn't found the opportunity to actually dine there yet. I had a day off, so I dragged my sister with me for lunch. We arrived a few minutes before 12:00 pm. We were informed that we could sit at a sofa or wait for the back room to open up. We chose to wait as we planned to dine and not only drink/lounge. When I say back, I mean the far back where the coffee bar is.
We were seated within ten minutes and attended to well, by our server. I wasn't sure what to order in a retail store that happened to have food. The higher prices had me wary, as well. My sister ended up ordering the turkey club with a coffee. She was able to substitute the wheat bread for sourdough. She substituted fries for a side salad. She said it was delicious and filling. I ordered the burger. They season the beef, which was a nice touch. No sauce comes on the burger, yet ketchup and mayonnaise are served in side ramekins. I was definitely full and unable to finish my fries. I could be alone in this, but for me, fries at a nicer restaurant are either GREAT or just meh. RH fries were on the great side, which was a pleasant surprise.
We enjoyed the ambiance, which is the point in this establishment, I feel. Parking can be tricky during peak times, as the lot is technically shared with the mall. We ended up closer to the Macy's outdoor entrance. I believe valet is available though. We didn't have anything negative to say. I wouldn't necessarily eat there for a full meal again, but I would share a small bite over cocktails. If I return, it will be for a summer rooftop cocktail.
